
Mrs. Caitlin Omilak, Principal
Mrs. Omilak is in her 11th year serving in the Diocese of Charleston. She joined the leadership team at Summerville Catholic School as Assistant Principal in the 2022–2023 school year and began serving as Principal in the 2025–2026 school year. Prior to moving into administration, Mrs. Omilak taught second grade, where she developed a deep love for helping young learners grow in both faith and academics. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Design, and a Graduate Certificate in Administration. Mrs. Omilak is passionate about fostering a faith-filled school community where every child is known, supported, and encouraged to reach their God-given potential.

Mrs. Zara Rushin, Business Manager
Mrs. Rushin has been a valued member of the Summerville Catholic School community for 11 years. Before joining the staff, she was an active volunteer while her daughter attended SCS, giving her a deep connection to the school and its families. Today, Mrs. Rushin serves as the go-to person for all enrollment and FACTS questions, helping guide families through the admissions and registration process. With her extensive knowledge of the school and her warm, welcoming presence, she knows nearly every student and family by name and is an integral part of the SCS community.

Mrs. Bridget Ekhaml, School Secretary
Mrs. Ekhaml is in her fourth year serving the Summerville Catholic School community. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Administration and Management and previously worked as a data analyst for Roper St. Francis. Bridget has a strong love for Catholic education and plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of the school. As the first person to greet visitors at the front door, she warmly welcomes students, families, and guests each day and is always ready to lend a helping hand to any student who stops by the office.

Mrs. Valerie Hatchell, Fundraising Coordinator
Mrs. Hatchel is in her second year serving as the Fundraising Coordinator at Summerville Catholic School. Before joining the staff, she was an active member of the school community and served as PSA President while her daughter attended SCS through eighth grade. Valerie’s strong connection to the school and passion for Catholic education help her lead fundraising efforts that support the programs and opportunities that benefit our students and families.

Mrs. Rachel Burns, Marketing & Social Media Coordinator
Mrs. Burns serves as the Marketing and Social Media Coordinator at Summerville Catholic School. In this part-time role, she helps share the story of SCS by highlighting student life, school events, and the many ways our community grows in faith and learning. Rachel is also a current SCS parent, giving her a special connection to the school and its mission.

Mrs. Renee Lindo, School Counselor
Mrs. Lindo serves as the full-time School Counselor at Summerville Catholic School and is in her first year with the SCS community. She holds a Master’s degree in School Psychology and brings over six years of experience in teaching and counseling. Mrs. Lindo works closely with students to support their academic, social, and emotional well-being while helping them develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Mr. Mike Kuhens, Maintenance
Mr. Kuhens is in his fourth year serving the Summerville Catholic School community as our maintenance coordinator. As a parent of multiple students at SCS, he has a strong connection to the school and takes great pride in helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment for our students and staff. In addition to caring for our campus, Mike is actively involved in student life by coaching several of our athletic teams and supporting students both on and off the field.
Mr. George Antolick, Maintenance
Mr. Antolick is in his fourth year serving the Summerville Catholic School community as part of our maintenance team. Working alongside Mr. Kuhens, George helps care for our campus and ensure that the school remains a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff. As a current SCS parent, he has a strong connection to the school and remains actively involved in the community through athletics and school committees.
