What is PeaceBuilders?
PeaceBuilders is a character education program designed to promote respect and character growth by all students.  Through the PeaceBuilders pledge and cooperative peace building activities, we want to provide a learning environment where everyone can increase the peace through positive and respectful behavior.

The program centers on six Peace Principles:  Praise People, Give Up Put Downs, Seek Wise People, Notice Hurts and Right Wrongs and to Help Others. Our goal is for students to use these principles as a guide to help them promote peace among each other. 

Each week the SCS students and faculty recite the PeaceBuilders pledge.  We are on the lookout every day for PeaceBuilders and we find many!   We are always discovering students who are going the extra mile to help others or solve problems.  The staff award students who use their PeaceBuilder skills to make our school a better place for everyone. We have awesome students who care about others and want to be the best they can! 

SCS will be implementing various aspects of the elementary PeaceBuilders program to reinforce the six principles. More information is available in the office.
