Admission Procedures
Summerville Catholic School, accredited by the Diocese of Charleston, serves the Catholic parishes in Summerville and outlying
areas. We welcome all students who are interested in a Catholic education, regardless of sex, race, creed, or national or ethnic
background.
In accordance with South Carolina Law,
- Kindergarten children for the 4‐year‐old program must be 4 years old by September 1 of the school year.
- Kindergarten children for the 5‐year‐old program must be 5 years old by September 1 of the school year.
- First grade children must have attended kindergarten and must be 6 years old by September 1 of the school year.
The registration process consists of the following steps:
- Complete a Student Registration form for each child.
- Pay the non-refundable registration fees. The fees are $175 per child or $350 per mulit-child family if they are paid prior to March, 2008; they are $200 per child or $400 per mulit-child family thereafter.
- Pay the Capital Improvement Fee. The fee is $500 for a new family and $150 for a returning family.
- Pay the Book Fees. These fees depend on the grades of your children. They are listed on the Fee Schedule.
- Complete the Emergency Evacuation form.
- Submit a Birth Certificate for each child who entering SCS this year.
- Submit a Parish Letter if you are seeking the parishoner rates for your children.
- Submit standardized test results and report cards for the past two years for students in Grades 1-8 who did not attend SCS during that period.
The following forms are required following acceptance:
- A FACTS form where you will choose your tuition payment plan.
