at Summerville Catholic, we are those who make keys to fit the doors that will
open up for all children to be able to have a Catholic education. The
Inclusive Education program at SCS is here to assist students with their
academic and social development as they grow in their Catholic education.
Our goal is to help students achieve to their personal best while including
them in the regular classroom as much as possible. We believe ALL
children have a right to a Catholic education and our program is continuing to
grow, so that more children with academic challenges can enjoy an education at
Summerville Catholic.
Summerville
Catholic School’s Inclusive Education Program has been evolving over the last
five years. The program began as part time tutoring assistance that was
administered during the school day. Now it has grown to a full time
program with one full time teacher and a part time assistant.
Our
goal is to offer all students a Catholic education. At this time we are
able to work with students who may have fallen a few grade levels behind
academically or students who are developmentally delayed.
